FR60 FMCW LiDAR
1. Technology & Functionality
FMCW Radar Principle: The FR60 emits a continuous, frequency-modulated laser signal. By measuring the frequency difference between the emitted signal and the reflected signal, it determines the distance to the target. It can also measure the speed of moving objects.
Applications: The FR60 is widely used in industrial robots, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and more. It supports functions like instantaneous speed and distance measurement, mapping, localization, identification, and obstacle avoidance.
2. Key Features
- Compact Design: The FR60 is small, about the size of a tennis ball, making it ideal for small robots used in mapping, localization, and obstacle detection.
- Wide Field of View: The FR60 has a horizontal FOV of 110° and a vertical FOV of up to 60°.
- Durability: The FR60 is IP67 rated, meaning it's highly resistant to dust and water, and can operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +65°C.
- Integrated IMU Module: The built-in 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope provide additional orientation data to improve navigation and mapping accuracy.
3. Data & Software
- Point Cloud & IMU Data: The FR60 outputs both 3D point cloud data and IMU data, which are essential for creating accurate digital models of the environment.
- Moreview2 Software: Moreview2 is software that allows real-time display, recording, and analysis of point cloud data. It has a user-friendly interface, making it easy for users to get started.
- SDK Support: The FR60 comes with an SDK supporting Windows and Ubuntu operating systems. It offers C++ and Python interfaces for easy integration and customization.
4. Specifications
- Range: The FR60 can measure distances from 0.1 to 60 meters, with high precision (up to 7mm at 10m).
- Output: It transmits data over UDP/IP using a 100M Ethernet connection.
This device is ideal for industries that require high precision and reliability, especially in environments where traditional sensors struggle. It's perfect for applications in industrial automation and autonomous mobile robots.
